Leander 1 billion project and more

Leander and Cedar Park area is becoming mecca of mixed-use projects, also construction rush for new houses.

Featureing these three developments in the suburban cities.

Lagoon and hotel– Leander Springs

Leander announces for $1B development featuring a lagoon and hotel

Leander’s mayor has announced a partnership for its $1 billion proposed development called Leander Springs. The 78-acre mixed-use project would be located at the southeast corner of FM 2243 and 183 and include retail, restaurants, entertainment, and residential space. The project would also include a 4-acre crystalline lagoon that would serve as the centerpiece for more than 1 million square feet of development, including a full-service hotel and conference center currently planned for the property. In addition to commercial development, up to 1,600 units of multifamily residential development are proposed for the project, according to the city.

 The development is projected to take 12 to 15 years to complete in six phases. The first phase could begin in June.

In the first phase, the developers are required to complete 35,000 square feet of commercial space and the lagoon by Dec. 21, 2023, with no more than 400 apartments built, according to the incentive agreement.

The Northline project is a 115-acre, mixed-use project in Leander’s transit-oriented development area between US 183 and 183A Toll. Project plans include shopping, dining, housing, and a town center and uses $15 million in city-allocated bonds. The project was first introduced in 2017 as a “vibrant, mixed-use town center.” Vertical construction is expected to start in 2021, and full build-out is expected to take 10-12 years. At Northline, the venue will have restaurants, bars, shops, a central lawn, a patio area, an event stage, and a jumbotron with daily and evening events, according to the release. It is a premium destination where parents can get together for a drink and let their kids run free.

Indigo Ridge is a $1.5 Billion Dollar development which will be anchored by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) – Texas Headquarters. The USTA- Texas Tennis Campus will include approximately 40 outdoor tennis courts, 6 to 8 indoor tennis courts, a stadium court, and related amenities for training, development, and competitions. The development is approximately 155-acres at the intersection of East Whitestone Boulevard (FM 1431) and Sam Bass Road. Indigo Ridge includes a concentrated mix of uses where people can live, work, play and stay – all within. More importantly, Indigo Ridge is composed to serve as a place where patrons come together every day to dine, shop, watch a movie, listen to a concert, or to simply experience something new.
